From October 1 to December 30, the “High Towers in the Clouds -- Han Dynasty Pottery Granary Tower Cultural Exhibition from Jiaozuo, Henan” is being showcased at Nanning Museum, displaying 90 artifacts (sets) unearthed in Jiaozuo, including 22 pottery granary towers.
It is understood that clothing, as highlighted, represents more than just external decoration. It is a marker of culture, identity, and even social status. The deep robe, for instance, a long garment connecting upper garment and lower garment, was worn by nobles and served as formal attire for the common folk, accessible to both men and women. Farmers of the Han Dynasty dressed in simple clothing, as laws mandated that commoners wear only undyed linen garments. During the exhibition, visitors dressed in traditional Hanfu may visit Nanning Museum Visitor Center for a chance to receive a commemorative card from the Pottery Granary Tower series.
