It is reported that the Cai Family Ancient Literary House Complex was built during the reign of Emperor Zhengde of the Ming Dynasty. The architectural complex is highly artistic and reflects a profound cultural heritage, making it a representative of southern residential buildings during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It consists of the Cai Family Ancient Literary House Complex, the Cai Family Academy, the Small Gold Building and its affiliated attractions.
