Recently, the “Regulations on the Protection and Management of Kunlun Pass in  Nanning” (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulations”) was officially  promulgated and implemented from October 1st upon approval, which will provide a  legal basis for the protection of the environment of Kunlun Pass Scenic Area.  The “Regulations” stipulates that the former site and the museum of Kunlun Pass  War should be opened to the public free of charge.

According to Jiang Ninghua, Director of the Nanning Kunlun Pass Scenic Area  Management Committee, the management committee will establish a sound tourism  security system, and formulate tourist visit plans on a scientific basis, so as  to protect the personal and property safety of tourists and better publicize the  military history and tourism culture of Kunlun Pass to the outside world, as the  free opening of the scenic area will bring more tourists. After the free  opening, visitors can enter the scenic area with valid ID cards, and the ticket  offices will be set up at the north and south entrances. Appointment system will  be implemented for tourism groups which should make an appointment by calling  6725346 or sending a letter to the scenic area before visit. In addition, the  "Regulations" also encourages domestic and foreign communities to support the  protection of Kunlun Pass through donations and volunteer services, so as to  build the pass into a national 5A tourist scenic area and a demonstration zone  with military, historical, cultural and tourism industries.
