Museum of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
Guangxi’s minority musical instruments are rich and diverse, each of which boasts of its own unique historical origin and cultural significance. It is the concentrated embodiment of the wisdom, imagination and aesthetic taste of the people of all ethnic groups. During the activity, the micro-classroom of the Museum of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region unlocked a total of five episodes of “Bagui Instrumental Music Tour”.
The first episode of the micro-classroom recommended the Zhuang Qi Xian Qin (the seven-stringed instrument), which is a kind of string musical instrument of the Zhuang ethnic group. According to current records, the Zhuang Qi Xian Qin was first known to the world in the 1960s. At that time, professors of Guangxi Academy of Art visited Donglan and interviewed a Qi Xian Qin artist in Changjiang Township, which brought about the first written material on the Zhuang Qi Xian Qin.
