Recently, it is learned that according to the estimates of related departments, the expressways in Nanning and its surrounding areas will undergo three peak periods during the Spring Festival travel rush, setting back traffic at Nanningdong, Anji and Anjidong toll stations.
The first period includes the peak hours from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00 during the period from January 28th to February 10th, a total of 14 days.
The second period is from February 11th to February 17th, a total of 7 days. It is expected that the traffic flow will ease down on February 11th (the New Year’s Eve), and that on the first and second day of the first Chinese lunar month will pick up gradually. The return trip peak is expected to be on February 16th and 17th (the fifth and sixth day of the first Chinese lunar month).
The third period is from February 18th to March 8th, a total of 19 days. The number of traveling trucks and passenger cars is on the rise, which will complicate traffic conditions and build up more pressure on road networks.
