On March 7th, the first overhead contact wire for the Chongzuo-Pingxiang Section of the Nanning-Pingxiang High-Speed Railway was successfully installed, marking the acceleration phase of the project of “Four Electric Systems”. This achievement lays the foundation for the planned opening and operation of the line within this year.
The project of “Four Electric Systems” encompasses the specialized works of communications, signaling, electric power, and power supply systems by electric traction in high-speed railway construction. It serves as the “central nervous system” and power source for the entire high-speed railway and is a crucial aspect of high-speed railway construction.
According to information, the Chongzuo-Pingxiang Section of the Nanning-Pingxiang High-Speed Railway spans 81.52 kilometers with a design speed of 250 km/h and is expected to open for operation within this year. Upon the full completion of the Nanning-Pingxiang High-Speed Railway, high-speed trains will be able to travel directly between Nanning and Pingxiang, reducing the travel time between the two cities to just over an hour. This will form a convenient transportation corridor for China to connect with ASEAN countries.
