The 2025 Joint Meeting of Directors of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Departments from Guangxi of China and Four Border Provinces of Vietnam convened in Nanning, Guangxi, on January 20th. Participants actively explored new areas, directions, and projects for agricultural exchanges and cooperation, focusing on the theme of "Jointly Promote Smart Agriculture Cooperation and Build a More Resilient Agricultural Production and Supply Chain".
According to statistics from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the import and export volume of agricultural products between Guangxi and Vietnam reached 18.37 billion yuan from January to November 2024. Vietnam has been Guangxi's largest trading partner for 26 consecutive years. Both regions have engaged in practical cooperation on major animal disease prevention and control, crop pest management, and have jointly established the Sino-Vietnamese Border Agricultural Science and Technology Corridor Demonstration Base, as well as a Crop Improved Variety Experimental Station.
