Reporters learned from a press briefing on high-quality opening-up and development in Guangxi with the support of excellent immigration management work held by the Information Office of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region that cross-border travel through Guangxi’s open ports has become more popular, and trade cooperation has flourished further in 2024.

Guangxi and Vietnam share geographical proximity, similar cultures, and natural landscapes. The Guangxi Frontier Inspection General Station has established a close and efficient coordination mechanism with Vietnam’s border defense authorities, opening “green channels” at key border ports to ensure the rapid clearance of fresh goods and essential supplies. Together with health departments, it has also created the cross-border service brand of “1369 Life Express” to provide cross-border rescue services for seriously injured or ill travelers from both China and abroad who require emergency assistance.

In the past year, focusing on Guangxi’s promotion of the “One Zone, Two Places, One Park, and One Channel” Initiative, the Guangxi Frontier Inspection General Station has fully leveraged its immigration management functions, provided services close to major development strategies, implemented a series of innovative measures, and contributed to the construction of a magnificent Guangxi in the new era.
