Guangxi Mobile released the Guangxi Winter and New Year's Day of "Ode to Joy" Big Data Report for 2025 on January 3rd. The report shows that during the turn of the year, people tend to go out to celebrate and welcome New Year in a lively atmosphere. According to statistics, the overall passenger flow of Guangxi’s scenic spots, business districts and night markets increased by more than 30% year on year. Among the people participating in the New Year event, the "post-70s" and "post-80s" have become the "main force".

Residents in Guangxi mainly travel within Guangxi, accounting for 79%, domestic tourism accounted for 20%, and overseas tourism accounted for 1%.

Since December 17, 2024, China's transit visa-free policy has been fully relaxed and optimized, and more tourists have come to Guangxi for tourism. Tourists are mainly from Southeast Asian countries. In Guangxi, about 60% of tourists are here for short-distance travel for 1 to 4 days, and about 30% are here for long-distance travel for 5 to 10 days.

At the turn of the year, a number of well-known singers hosted concerts in Nanning, attracting fans from all over China and even foreign countries to gather in Nanning, carrying out the Nanning tour. After the performance, most of the audience stayed in Nanning for 2 days or more. Successive concerts not only create a strong happy atmosphere for Nanning at the turn of the year, but also drive a series of consumption of "food, housing, transportation, travel, shopping, and entertainment".
