Recently, the opening ceremony for the second session of the 2024 China-Vietnam Advanced Medical Talent Training Program was held at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. The program featured training in organ transplantation, anesthesia, rehabilitation, and other specialties. Fifteen trainees from various hospitals in Vietnam will undertake a 2-to-4-week visit and study program.

It is reported that the program includes “one-on-one” mentoring, with customized courses designed for different specialties to help trainees acquire advanced skills. In the future, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University plans to deepen its connections with other Vietnamese medical institutions through the China-ASEAN Cross-Border Medical Cooperation Platform, promoting information sharing and integrated patient services across partner hospitals to enhance public health in both countries.
