Recently, the 20th Guangxi-Taiwan Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation Forum with the theme of “Promoting Exchanges and Cooperation and Deepening Integrated Development” opened in Nanning, Guangxi.

It has been learned that the forum was jointly sponsored by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. At the forum, representatives of entrepreneurs from both sides of the Taiwan Strait reviewed the achievements of Guangxi-Taiwan exchanges in the past 20 years, and made keynote speeches on industrial cooperation between Guangxi and Taiwan, cross-Strait cultural exchanges, and integrated development of culture and tourism. The Guangxi-Taiwan Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation Forum has become an important platform for promoting the peaceful and integrated development of cross-Strait relations. As one of the pioneer provinces and autonomous regions in carrying out economic, trade and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, Guangxi is willing to make good use of open platforms, such as the China-ASEAN Expo, the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, and China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, with the vast number of Taiwan compatriots and enterprises, strengthen cooperation in electronic information and agricultural products, and jointly make the “cake” of ASEAN-oriented economic and trade development bigger.
