In recent years, Nanning has continuously put more money in geological disaster control, gradually building a new monitoring and early-warning system combining personnel prevention and technological prevention, according to Nanning Municipal Natural Resources Bureau.
By the end of 2022, Nanning is expected to have another 14 automated monitoring points, 70 spots for collecting digital orthophoto and making 3D models for hazards, and 10 sets of visual monitoring devices for geological disasters. With all these, it will increase its coverage with automated monitoring and make this system smarter. While building this system, Nanning also explores to share data with other disaster monitoring and early-warning systems to improve interconnection with other departments so as to strengthen the safe guarding net featuring personnel and technological prevention against geological disasters for the people’s life and properties.
