Recently, the standardized vegetable demonstration base of Menglian Village, Pumiao Town, Yongning District, Nanning City has reaped a bumper harvest of 100-mu peppers. Qin Qingshan, the person in charge of the base, introduced that the base planted more than 100 mu of peppers, and the picking began in April and will continue until June. It is expected to harvest 300 tons this year, with an output value of more than one million yuan.

In recent years, Pumiao Town has focused on the concept of "Revitalizing Rural Areas, Taking Industries as Top-priority", making a big deal of characteristic planting industries, vigorously developing and expanding the characteristic industries with a short planting cycle, high output and quick effects, and driving the farmers under its jurisdiction to increase income and become rich in their hometown. It is understood that this year, Menglian Village, Liangxin Village and Xinxin Village in Pumiao Town have planted more than 2,800 mu of peppers, with an average yield of 1,500-3,000 kg per mu and an average price of 3 yuan per kg, mainly sold to Hunan, Anhui, Jiangxi and other regions, and it is expected to achieve an output value of 10 million yuan.
