Recently, Shanghai Ranking Consultancy Co., Ltd., a professional institution for higher education evaluation, officially released the "2024 China's Best Disciplines by Shanghai Ranking". In this ranking, a total of 82 disciplines from 9 universities in Guangxi were listed.

It is reported that the "China's Best Disciplines by Shanghai Ranking" originates from a data monitoring platform for discipline development level that serves the departments in charge of university discipline construction management. The system uses dozens of key indicator variables that reflect the competitive strength of disciplines in talent cultivation, platform projects, and award achievements, and tracks and measures the real-time performance and relative positions of tens of thousands of disciplines points in Chinese universities. Among the listed Guangxi’s universities, Guangxi University had 24 disciplines listed, ranking first in the number of listed subjects in Guangxi, followed by Guangxi Normal University with 17 disciplines listed. In addition, among these disciplines, there are a total of 12 listed subjects in Guangxi’s universities in the top 20% nationwide.
