Recently, Shanghai Ranking, a leading global evaluation institution for higher education, officially released the “2024 Academic Ranking of World Universities” (ARWU).

It is reported that Guangxi’s universities have made significant breakthroughs this year, with Guangxi University, Guangxi Medical University, and Guilin University of Electronic Technology all making the list. Guangxi University led the way among the Guangxi’s universities, securing a spot in the global top 500 with a strong and stable performance. Guilin University of Electronic Technology made its debut in the ranking. Notably, Guangxi places great emphasis on the development of high-level universities and the improvement of their comprehensive strength. It continues to advance the construction of “Double First-Class” universities and implement a new round of top-tier discipline projects in Guangxi, in order to build a robust academic system for its universities. These efforts have optimized the structure of higher education, expanded access to quality resources, and further enhanced the competitiveness and overall strength of higher education system in the region.
