It was recently learned that since the implementation of the "High-level Vocational Schools and Specialty Construction Plan with Chinese Characteristics" (Double High-level Plan), Guangxi has raised funds from multiple channels to accelerate the construction of the modern vocational education system focusing on the "Double High-level Plan".

As of 2024, Guangxi's finance department has cumulatively coordinated 1.59 billion yuan in central and autonomous region funds to support Guangxi's higher vocational colleges in implementing the “Double High-level Plan” at both national and autonomous region level. So far, four schools in Guangxi have been selected for the national "Double High-level Plan" construction school. Among them, Nanning College for Vocational Technology was selected as a high-level school, while three professional groups including Guangxi Vocational and Technical College's tea tree cultivation and tea processing, Liuzhou Polytechnic University's mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance and management, and Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction's architectural engineering technology were selected as high-level specialties.
