Service industry demonstrates positive momentum

From January to June, total postal express in the city increased by 67.7% year on year, accelerating by 2.7 percentage points compared to that of the period from January to May. The business volume of telecommunications sector grew by 15.6%, up by 3.5 percentage points from January to May.

For large enterprises, from January to June, the revenue from other above-scale profit-generating services rose by 13.9% year on year. Notable growth was observed in the software and information technology service sector at 20.7%, business services at 16.0%, and professional technical services at 3.0%.

Consumer goods market maintains overall stability

From January to July, the city’s consumer goods market continued its recovery. Retail sales of essential goods exhibited steady growth. The retail sales of beverages by enterprises above the designated size enterprises jumped by 43.8%, and that of sports and entertainment goods, of communication equipment, of Chinese and western medicines, and of oil and product increased by 21.4%, 15.2%, 0.7%, 0.4% year on year, respectively.
