According to survey data, in June 2024, Nanning’s consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.5% year on year. The year-on-year increase was 0.3 percentage point higher than the national average and 0.2 percentage point lower than the regional average. In terms of year-on-year CPI increase, Nanning ranked 10th among 36 major cities nationwide, and 4th among 14 prefecture-level cities in Guangxi.
It is reported that the prices of eight categories of goods and services exhibited a "seven-up and one-down" trend. Specifically, prices for medical care, other goods and services, education and entertainment, clothing, household goods and services, housing, and food, tobacco and alcohol increased by 4.6%, 1.8%, 0.9%, 0.8%, 0.5%, 0.4%, and 0.2%, respectively. In addition, prices of transportation and communication fell by 2.1%.
