In February, Nanning’s transportation prices rose by 2.5% month on month, driving the CPI up by about 0.3 percentage points, of which the prices of air tickets and vehicle rental fees rose by 14.6% and 7.1% month on month respectively. Since the Spring Festival is the most important traditional festival in China, the demand of citizens for returning home and going out has increased, driving the rise of transportation prices.
In February, the price of fuel for transportation vehicles in Nanning increased by 6.1% month on month, driving the CPI up by about 0.2 percentage points, of which the prices of diesel and gasoline increased by 6.6% and 6.2% month on month respectively. Affected by international tensions, Russia and Ukraine officially went to war, and the relationship between energy supply and demand was unbalanced, resulting in a rise in the price of refined oil.
