Recently, the premiere press conference of CCTV’s debut documentary on Guangxi's cuisine, "Tastes Sourcing from Mountain and Sea" was held in the Mixc in Nanning. The documentary has presented Guangxi's cuisine and local food culture to the audience across the country, thus enhancing people's understanding of Guangxi.
It is introduced that in 2021, CCTV 10, the channel for science and education, joined hands with the representative of Guangxi's cuisine brand Guixiaochu to explore the most authentic tastes from the north to the south of Guangxi, and it took five months to film and produce into a featured program, with an aim to let more people know Guangxi through its cuisine culture. The documentary, as the debut of Guangxi’s cuisine on CCTV, has been of high profile among the public before its broadcast. The topic “Guangxi's cuisine on CCTV” topped the list of Sina Weibo of searched hashtags city-wide on the date when it was released. Meanwhile, the manager of Guixiaochu expressed confidence and determination to better develop Guangxi's cuisine.
