Recently, a group of data on Nanning’s foreign trade in the first quarter indicate the vigorous vitality of foreign trade in the capital city of Guangxi: the city’s total import and export volume reached 25.96 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth rate of 62.4%, 33.2 percentage points and 11.7 percentage points higher than those of the whole country and the whole region respectively, 74.6% percentage points higher than that of the first quarter in 2019, with an average two-year growth of 32.1%.
Cross-border e-commerce industry of the city has continued the good development trend of the previous year and become one of the main forces to ensure the steady growth of foreign trade. According to statistics, in the first quarter, China (Nanning) Cross-Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone completed a total of 1.155 billion yuan of cross-border e-commerce import and export business, achieving a year-on-year growth rate of 368%, including 9.9148 million retail import and export deals, with a turnover of 477 million yuan, and 18,400 cross-border e-commerce B2B export deals, with a turnover of 678 million yuan. In addition, processing trade is an important part of Nanning’s foreign trade. From January to March, the import and export volume of processing trade in Nanning reached 17.44 billion yuan, up by 69.1% year on year, accounting for 73.4% of the processing trade in the whole region of Guangxi and 67.2% of the total import and export volume of the whole city.
