According to the recent notice of Nanning Customs, the import and export of fresh fruits, dried fruits and nuts (hereinafter referred to as fruits, excluding exchange of commodities) of the ports in Guangxi totaled 677,000 tons in the first half of 2018, an increase of 22.2 % over the same period last year, with a total value of 4.1 billion yuan, up by 63%. The import of fruit reached 563,000 tons, an increase of 30.1% over the same period last year, worth 3.1 billion yuan, up 97.2% year on year.
According to the related staff of Nanning Customs, Vietnam and Thailand are the main trading partners of fruit import and export of Guangxi. In the first half of this year, trading fruits to Vietnam were 0.553 million tons, up 6.1%, worth 2.31 billion yuan, up 10%. Trading fruits to Thailand reached 114,000 tons and valued at 1.79 billion yuan, 3.6 times and 3.3 times than that of last year respectively.
