According to Nanning Municipal Scientific and Technological Bureau lately, the major science and technology project of Nanning titled "Research and Industrialization of Key Generic Technologies of High-performance Anti-corrosion Aluminum Alloy Materials for Marine Engineering" was accepted.
Reportedly, this project focuses on the research of high-performance anti-corrosion aluminum alloy materials for marine engineering in China. It has produced aluminum alloy materials with high precision dimensional tolerance and excellent mechanical and anti-corrosion properties. The project has applied for 5 patents for invention and set up a demonstrative production line of high magnesium aluminum alloy sheets for ships with an annual production capacity of 1,500 tons, which increased the production value by 100 million yuan after being commissioned. The implementation of this project is of great significance in filling the gap in the marine engineering's adoption of high-performance aluminum alloy materials in China, elevating the level of equipment development in Guangxi's marine transportation and other fields, realizing the independent and controllable manufacture of aluminum products for ships, and driving the rapid development of regional economy in Guangxi.
