Eight-treasure Sashimi is a famous dish for offering sacrifices to gods and feasting relatives and friends on July 14 of the lunar calendar in Liangjiang Town, Wuming District.
According to the chef of the bed and breakfasts, when the raw fish is cut into slices with a slant angle, the skin of the fish cannot be cut off, and the meat slices should be cut out along the skin. The preparation for the eight ingredients is complex. Fried soybeans are ground into powder, fried peanuts are pounded into powder, papaya and ginger are cut into shreds, tender Chinese toon leaves, perilla and coriander are chopped, and then the half-dried Houttuynia cordata is rubbed by hand. Mix fresh peanut oil, salt, chili sauce, soy sauce and white vinegar with the sashimi and then it can be served in a few minutes.
