Five-colored sticky rice


The five-colored sticky rice is a traditional food made by Zhuang and Yao people in March 3rd Festival. The five colors refer to red, purple, yellow, black and white, which are immersed in the colored juice of peristrophe roxburghiana, purple tomato vine, day lily, maple leaves respectively. After colored in the juice, the sticky rice will be steamed in ancient earthen utensil with rice together and available then. The five-colored sticky rice has a delicate fragrance refreshing the mind. People often eat it with sugar or by frying.
