5 ways to help you handle non-acclimatization


Taste the local food appropriately.

When you come to a new environment, it is best to give your stomach a period of time to adapt the local food. Don't eat too much local food at one time. Setting foot on a different place, you can eat tofu, soup, porridge and other foods that are easy to digest with less stimulation. You can also eat some kinds of healthy foods like honey, red dates, lotus seeds, and peanuts, which will be good to your stomach and spleen.

Drink honey before going to bed.

In some cases, the non-acclimatization is caused by a fragile spleen and a weak stomach. Yet honey can not only strengthen the spleen and stomach, but also have a calming and tranquilizing effect. The glucose, vitamins, phosphorus, calcium and other substances contained in honey can regulate the disorder of the nervous system and promote sleep.

Drink some yogurt.

Lactic acid bacteria in yoghurt helps to maintain the balance of intestinal microflora, and can relieve discomforts such as abdominal pain and diarrhea induced by disturbance of gastrointestinal microflora. Yet people who have lactose intolerance certainly shall not drink yoghurt.

Drink more tea.

Tea has a refreshing and diuretic effect and it can accelerate blood circulation which can help the body to excrete sensitized substances and reduce the occurrence of urticaria. Of course, you shall not drink tea on an empty stomach.

Maintain the original living habits.

During the holidays, whether traveling or visiting relatives and friends, it is possible for one to disrupt the daily schedule, yet irregular life is likely to give rise to all kinds of discomfort. Therefore, you should try your best to maintain the original living habits. In the choice of food, you should also try to choose foods that are similar to the original taste and eat less spicy food.
