It is reported that the opening and operation of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway in Hong Kong and the implementation of the "Co-location Arrangement" Policy have further shortened the space-time distance between Hong Kong and the mainland. Guilin has also become one of the first cities in the mainland to connect Hong Kong directly through high-speed railway. A senior train fan in Nanning told us that with the help of Nanguang high-speed train, Nanning Station could connect with Guangzhou South Station and Shenzhen North Station and people can further take trains to Hong Kong from Guangzhou or Shenzhen conveniently. The person in charge of China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has said that they will strive to open up direct high-speed railway from Nanning to Hong Kong this year to promote the exchange and cooperation between Guangxi, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
At present, Guilin of Guangxi operates one daily (Kunming South to Hong Kong West Kowloon G312/3 G314/1, stop at Guilin West Railway Station) train to Hong Kong. From Guilin West Station to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, it costs 1,138 yuan for business class, 607 yuan for first class, 379 yuan for second class and 284 yuan for student ticket.
