Anthropology Museum of Guangxi


Anthropology Museum of Guangxi is a ceremony project of the 50th anniversary of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which started to open to the public free of charge in 2009. It is an ethnic cultural museum at autonomous region level, with nonprofit feature and special subjects. Located in the Qing Xiu Shan Scenic Spot of Nanning and adjacent to the beautiful Yongjiang River, the museum covers an area of 130 mu and consists of the main building and ecological exhibition gardens of the traditional Guangxi residential culture.

The museum takes the collection, research and display of cultural heritance of 12 long-dwelling ethnic minorities in Guangxi province as its main task and also emphasizes cultural relic collection, cultural research and display of all nationalities both in China and Southeast Asia.

The museum fully performs its function of education and provides cultural experience in many ways like holding ethnic minorities’ traditional brilliant festivals frequently and a series of themed education activities in the whole year, gaining great social response.
