Recently, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau of Wuming District in Nanning, together with the Agricultural Service Center of Luwo Town, held the 2024 Machine Harvest Loss Reduction Skills Competition in order to improve the machine harvesting skill, reduce the loss during harvesting, and ensure every grain is harvested.

It is reported that in the competition, the participating harvester operators relied on their rich practical experience and combined with the actual situation of the plot to adjust the harvesting height of paddy and speed of the harvester to carry out the harvesting operation in an orderly manner. During the harvesting process, it is necessary to achieve uniform speed and accurate height to minimize losses. The members of the assessment group conducted on-site scoring according to the data such as operation time and the weight of loss reduction. In addition, on the day of the competition, the Agricultural Service Center of Luwo Town also trained the town's machine operators on the operation skills of rice harvesting and loss reduction.
