China-ASEAN Expo is an international event of economy and trade jointly hosted by the economy and trade authorities of China and ASEAN nations and also the ASEAN Secretariat and organized by Guangxi. It contributes to and witnesses the increasingly richer connotations of the China-ASEAN strategic partnership, the rapid deepening of China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation, and the more frequent exchanges between the peoples of China and ASEAN nations, playing a major role in serving the Belt and Road construction.

Since 2004, Nanning has become the permanent venue for the expo, ushering in the era of pursuing deeper exchanges between China and ASEAN nations through “Nanning Channel” to achieve win-win cooperation. With the Belt and Road construction in progress, the influence of “Nanning Channel” is growing stronger. It is a channel not only for openness, inclusiveness and win-win cooperation, but also for connections within the national policies, facilities, trade, funds, and also peoples of China and ASEAN nations, which will effectively contribute to building the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and the exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN nations in various fields and at multiple levels.
