It is learned from Guangxi Health Department and Nanning Health Bureau that the third batch of A (H1N1) influenza vaccines, a total of 1.18 million vaccines, has arrived in Guangxi, and would be distributed to each disease control center in accordance with the population proportion of each city. According to the epidemic situation and vaccination program, the 215,000 vaccines distributed to Nanning will be inoculated to people of three focal groups and some schools.
Mr. Long, head of the disease control section of Nanning Health Bureau, told journalists that the first two batches of vaccines had mainly been inoculated to the frontline medical workers and the focal public servants (including armed policemen, policemen, and people who work at the ports, airports, railway stations, public transportation, etc.) and the schools which had reported H1N1 influenza cases. However, due to the shortage of vaccines, only the frontline medical workers have the chances to get vaccinated. To better control the epidemic situation, the vaccines will be mainly distributed to the heavy epidemic counties and the relevant departments. As for the other counties and districts, the arrangement of the vaccines will be made on the basis of their epidemic situations. |
