On November 13, 2009 Nanning Talents Event Month and High-skilled Talents Fair was kicked off at Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center. After the kick-off ceremony, high-skilled workers showed various work skills. Present at the event were Lei Yingmin, Wu Wei, Yan Shilian and other leaders of Nanning.

These series of events are jointly sponsored by Nanning Labor and Social Security Bureau and Nanning Trade Union and they are a part of 2009 Talents Month. They include shows of work skills, a forum on capacity building of high-skilled workers, tour reports on makings of skilled personnel and employment fair of high-skilled workers.

High-skilled work shows on November 13 presented electrical control technology, computer intelligence control technology, elevator energy-saving technology, food carving, preparation of Chinese and Western noodles and pastries, tea-making, image-designs and floral art. Over 209 skilled workers from 75 businesses and vocational schools showed their skills and techniques at the event.
