At the kick-off meeting of issuing ASEAN-China Free Trade Area Preferential Tariff Certificate of Origin Form E in Nanning recently, the department in charge announced that the certificate will be fully issued on January 16 next year. It will make the trade deals between Guangxi and the ASEAN nations smoother, help expand the trade and investment scale between the both sides, and promote the development of export-oriented economy in Guangxi.
The ASEAN-China Free Trade Area Preferential Tariff Certificate of Origin Form E, or Form E, is an important tool to determine tariff treatment of products and improve market competitiveness. It is a proof for quality or settlement of products, the basis for trade statistics, and a tool for importing countries to impose differentiated quantity control and trade management. In 2017, the total number of such certificates was 1.6 million.
After full issuance, it will make possible the broader-range cooperation between Guangxi and the ASEAN nations, and help open a wider door for southwestern and central China to the world. This effort will surely promote the "Belt and Road Initiative" to a higher level.
