It has 3,000 international standard booths (3m×3m), including 2,500 indoor booths and 500 outdoor booths.
5. How will the Chinese exhibits be arranged?
Exhibits of the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Chinese Taibei will be arranged as follows: 1) Machinery & equipment: automobile & parts, foodstuff and packaging machinery, agricultural machinery, engineering machinery, power-generating equipment, textile machinery, etc. 2) Electronics & electrical appliances: telecommunication products, digital products, household appliances, etc. 3) Building materials & household ware: building materials, decoration materials, sanitary wares, lamps & lighting fixtures, etc. 4) Agricultural materials, agricultural produce and foodstuffs: agricultural materials (pesticides, agricultural-use films, seeds, and fertilizers), agricultural produce and green foods, etc.
6. How will the exhibits of the ASEAN countries and other countries be grouped?
The exhibits of the ASEAN countries and others will be grouped as follows: automobile & parts, timber & timber products, rubber & rubber products, palm oil & its products, handicrafts with unique country flavors, agricultural produce, foodstuffs with unique country flavors , electrical appliances & electronics, and mineral products.
7. How will the investment cooperation be carried out during the Expo?
The Expo will have a pavilion of investment cooperation featured by the strategy of “Going Global” (overseas investing) of Chinese enterprises to focus on international project contracting, labor service cooperation, overseas processing trade, resources development, market analysis, project assessment and related financial services. It will also display the various investment-inviting projects on urban construction and economic & technological development in
8. What are the features of the pavilion of agricultural advanced & applicable technologies?
It will focus on agricultural plantation & animal husbandry technology, agricultural produce intensive processing technology, biotechnology, energy-saving & green technology, new materials and alternative sources of energy, and will showcase Chinese agricultural advanced and applicable technologies that are suitable for the ASEAN markets and will hold project negotiations to promote technological transferring and cooperation between China and the 10 ASEAN countries.

This pavilion will be set up for participating countries to publicize their unique charms.
10. What are the booth specifications and the supporting facilities?
Each standard booth is9m²(3m×3m), equipped with 1 fascia board, 3 side boards (booth at the corridor corner will have 2 side boards and 2 fascia boards), 1 desk, 2 chairs, 2 spotlights, a 500W single-phase socket, 1 waste basket, and carpet. The minimum net exhibition space for renting is36m², exclusive of supporting facilities. The exhibitors are liable to the charges for electric power, exhibition equipment, cleaning and booth installment, etc.
11. How will the booth rental be charged?
Booth rates will be charged in RMB for Chinese exhibitors and in USD for exhibitors from other countries and regions.
12. How much is the booth rate?
For countries within the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the rental of a standard booth is USD1,200/booth or RMB10, 000/booth (Booth of Agricultural Materials, Agricultural Produce and Foodstuffs: USD720/booth or RMB6, 000/booth). For the indoor net space, the rate is USD120/m² or RMB1, 000/ m² (Net space for Agricultural Materials, Agricultural Produce and Foodstuffs: USD72/m² or RMB600/ m²), and that of the outdoor net space is USD60/ m² or RMB500/ m². For countries outside the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the rentals are respectively as follows: USD1, 800/booth for standard booth; USD180/m² for indoor gross space; USD90/m² for outdoor gross space. Preferential rates are given to enterprise exhibitors who register before May 31.
13. How to participate in the CAEXPO as exhibitors?
Government departments concerned of each country/region will organize local enterprises to participate in the CAEXPO as exhibitors; chambers of commerce will organize their member enterprises; professional agents may involve in exhibiting enterprises organization; or enterprises of each country/region may register directly with the CAEXPO Secretariat.
14. When is the deadline for exhibitor registration?
The deadline for exhibitor registration is July 31, 2006.
15. What are the requirements of Exhibitors?
The following criteria are set for enterprise exhibitors at the CAEXPO. The CAEXPO Secretariat will only accept applications from qualified enterprises. 1) Any enterprise participating as exhibitor shall have legal licenses in its own country/region. And enterprises from the Chinese Mainland shall obtain import/export licenses from Chinese Government or be possessed of a register capital over RMB 1 million. 2)Enterpriseexhibitors of the Chinese Mainland shall provide valid import/export enterprise code (for import/export enterprises) or copy of valid business license issued by local industrial and commercial administrations (for non-import/export enterprises). 3)Enterpriseexhibitors and exhibits shall comply with relevant requirements stipulated in the Bulletin on the 3rd China-ASEAN Expo released by the CAEXPO Secretariat. 4) The title of the enterprise used for registration shall be consistent with that on the fascia of its booth. No transferring or speculative reselling of booths is allowed. No infringement upon intellectual property rights is allowed, and no retailing of exhibits at the Venue. 5) Enterprises could voluntarily provide other valid materials and proofs of honors concerning the enterprises or their products. Priorities of participation shall be given to quality enterprises and brand products by the CAEXPO Secretariat.
16. What are the registration procedures?
Exhibitors can contact the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat for the Registration Form (for Exhibitors) of the 3rd China-ASEAN Expo, or visitwww.caexpo.org, the official website of the Expo to download the Registration Form (Photocopies are acceptable) and return it to the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat by Fax or Mail upon filling out the necessary information, or log on the official website of the CAEXPO, fill in the Registration Form (for Exhibitors) of the 3rd China-ASEAN Expo and submit it to the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat on line.
17. How will the reservation of booth be confirmed?
The China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, upon receiving the filled Registration Form (for Exhibitors), will deliver a written confirmation to the enterprise, and arrange booth accordingly. The deadline for booth confirmation is August 31, 2006.
18. How will the booth rental be paid?
Upon receiving the Booth Confirmation from the CAEXPO Secretariat, exhibitors shall remit their booth rentals to the designated accounts within the set period of time. The booth confirmation is subject to due payment.
