Thailand’s main city - Hua Hin

Hua Hin, a famous coastal city, is located in the southern part of Thailand and is about 230 kilometers away from Bangkok. It covers 86.4 square kilometers and has a population of 47,000 or so (data of December 2017). Originally known as a small fishing village, Hua Hin is now famous for its azure sky, silver sand, and tranquility. The city is mainly engaged in tourism, attracting more than 1.9 million tourists from home and abroad every year, and is listed as a key environmental protection zone by the Thai government. Chopsticks Hill lies 6km south of the city, on which there are temples and standing Buddhas. Standing on top of the hill, you can overlook the brilliant Hua Hin Beach. Lion Island and golf courses are also famous tourist resorts in the city.
