Job internship, which usually lasts 3 to 12 months, refers to the employment preparations and practices for the graduates who have not been employed within 2 years after leaving the full-time ordinary institutions of higher learning (including the graduates of advanced engineering classes and preparatory engineering classes of technical colleges, as well as the graduates of special education institutions in the vocational education category) and secondary vocational schools, and for the graduates of junior middle schools and senior middle schools who came from the registered poverty-stricken families and have completed the mid-term employment skills training within 2 years; it is voluntary and based on the inclination of the applying student himself/herself. Examined and approved by the departments of human resources and social security at all levels, the job internship base refers to a unit that can recruit qualified interns to participate in the job internship, and these units are provided with supporting policies from government.
