Recently, on the Yongjiang River, about 200 meters downstream of Qingchuan Bridge, a cross-river water supply pipe began to sink slowly with the hoisting of a crane. After 48 hours, this 450-meter water supply pipeline finally reached the bottom of the river for the next step, which is to connect with the coastal pipeline to finish the water supply task by connecting the north and south of the river.
It is understood that the pipeline has an inner diameter of 2.6 meters and a length of 450 meters, making it the longest pipeline with the largest diameter and longest span in Guangxi. The starting point of the pipeline is connected with the upstream Xinxujiang Pumping Station-Jiangbei Avenue pipeline. After crossing the Yongjiang River, the pipeline will be connected with the Jiangnan Avenue pipeline and reach the terminal point of South River Waterworks. With the completion of the submergence of the pipeline, the foundation has been laid for the future progress of the first phase of the diversion project in the upper reaches of Yongjiang River, and the upward movement of the water intake of Yongjiang River will therefore be ensured, which further guarantees the safety of water intake in Nanning, effectively strengthens the protection of water sources and improves the water quality in the urban area.
