Recently, it was learned from the Nanning Culture, Radio & TV, Press and Publication and Tourism Bureau that in the first quarter of this year, Nanning received 33.8716 million tourists and consumed 39.893 billion yuan of tourism, increasing by 13.5% and 25.31% respectively over the same period of last year, thus bringing about a good start to the development of tourism economy.
According to statistics, during New Year’s Day this year, the city received 1.0454 million tourists, an increase of 17.3% over the same period of last year, and realized a total tourism consumption of 1.115 billion yuan, an increase of 23.6% over the same period of last year. During the Golden Week of the Spring Festival, the city received 2.6981 million tourists, an increase of 18.21% over the previous year, and realized a total tourism consumption of 1.17 billion yuan, an increase of 25.68% over the previous year. With the constant adjustment of Nanning’s tourism product structure and the intensification of market development, the sources of tourists outside the city tend to be more diversified, which further promotes the diversification of domestic tourism market structure and shows a strong growth in the number of visitors to Nanning. In the first quarter of this year, the top 10 main tourist origin areas were Guangdong, Hunan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Yunnan, Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai, Inner Mongolia and Shanxi.
