On June 27, Nanning railway stations witnessed a travel peak during the Dragon Boat Festival, transporting a total of 62,000 passengers.
Reportedly, the passengers were mainly family-visiting medium- and short-distance travelers from and to Guilin, Liuzhou, Yulin and Beihai. It was estimated that China Railway Nanning Group Co., Ltd. transported 213,000 passengers per day during the festival. On the last day of the festival, Nanning Railway Station transported 18,000 passengers and Nanningdong Railway Station transported 44,000 passengers. In order to meet the travel demands of passengers during the festival, the company had added and rescheduled 134 EMU trains.
