Lately, the Office of Nanning Municipal People’s Government issued the “Implementation Rules of Regulating New Media of Government Affairs in Nanning” (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”) to strengthen the regulation of Nanning’s new media platforms on government affairs.
In terms of unclogging online interaction channels, the “Rules” points out that Nanning’s governmental media should keep improving interaction sections such as comments, online interviews and opinion polls based on the needs of work and ensure better performance in reviewing and publishing and giving feedback to the people’s messages. It is expected to collect the people’s messages and replies on a regular basis and gradually build up a complete, authoritative and efficient consultation and Q & A library. Valuable suggestions should be referred to related departments in a timely manner. Meanwhile, affairs-handling services function should also be put in place to primarily extend the public services in science, education and culture that weigh heavily in people’s life and the services of public institutions in water, electricity, gas and other utilities towards the new media of government affairs.
