Older workers benefit from new employment regulations

As learned from the Human Resources and Social Security Department of the autonomous region, in order to help the workers with difficulties to find jobs, especially those older workers of 40-50 years old, it has recently issued a notice and new employment regulations which benefit the older workers. The new regulations state that for those workers with difficulties to find jobs who are applying for public welfare positions for the first time and who are less than five years to the legal retirement age, they will be hired with preference.


The notice points out that for those workers who have served the full employment period of the public welfare positions, the public employment service institutions should introduce jobs for them. For the female workers with difficulties to find jobs who are applying for the flexible employment social insurance subsidy for the first time, and who have participated in the basic pension insurance since January 1, 2003 and are over 50 years old, they can benefit from the policy that their social insurance subsidy period will be extended to 55 years old; for those who have participated in the basic pension insurance before December 31, 2002 and are above 45 years old, they can enjoy the policy that their social insurance subsidy period will be extended to 50 years old.
