Nanning conducts law enforcement action on food safety

On May 17, Nanning held the opening ceremony for the One Hundred-Day Clearance Law Enforcement Action on Food Safety, and the action would last until the September of 2017.


Special inspections on three aspects would be conducted: firstly, the special inspections on food safety during the Dragon Boat Festival, with focus on such festival foods as traditional Chinese rice-pudding, wine, bulk alcohol and condiment, for investigating and dealing with such illegal activities as unlicensed business operations, and operators' non-performance on inspecting incoming food in accordance with relevant regulations. Secondly, the special inspections on food safety during the Children's Day, the entrance examinations for high schools and universities and the beginning period of Autumn semester, with focus on dairy products, drinks, sugars, biscuits and other related food, for seriously investigating and dealing with such illegal activities as unlicensed business operations and the sales of expired foods. Thirdly, the special safety inspections on farmers’ markets and surrounding products, for strictly cracking down on such illegal activities as the abused additions of preservatives and antiseptics in agricultural products and aquatic products, the sales of dead or diseased pig and the smuggling of frozen meat.
