Nanning citizens to receive more benefits from education reform

Nanning Municipal People’s Government held a routine press conference at NICEC on October 10. On the conference, Nanning Education Bureau introduced the education reform and development situation of Nanning in the past five years as well as its future working plan, presenting to the public a blueprint of education maneuvers in the next few years.

According to Nanning Education Bureau, a batch of primary schools and kindergartens will be built and put into operation in the next few years. The city is aiming to achieve a gross enrollment rate at 97% for three-year preschool stage, yielding a 96% retention rate for the nine-year compulsory education at least, and to obtain a 95% gross enrollment rate at high school level. It is also striving to be the first to implement a more advanced fifteen-year compulsory education system in the autonomous region, providing more tangible benefits to Nanning citizens.
