According to Nanning Customs District lately, during January to April, the imports of Chinese herbal medicine were 295.8 tons, or 3,132,000 yuan, an increase by 34.8 times compared with those of last year, accounting for 40.3% of the total imports of Guangxi in the same period. The medicine includes Amomum kravanh, folium sennae, Fructus chebulae immaturus, etc., all of which were imported by private enterprises.
Reportedly, since the unveiling of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Chinese herbal medicine importing has been a major driving force for the development of Nanning Area. During January to April this year, 94.9% of the Chinese herbal medicine was imported in the means of inbound and outbound warehousing and transit goods. Next, Nanning Customs District will continue to lend more support to import enterprises of Chinese herbal medicine, help them unclog the channel of import logistics, and vigorously boost imported medicine trade and medicinal materials processing industry.
