Recently, the construction of the newly-built Nanning-Yulin Railway has been accelerated, and the first layer of mass concrete for No. 18 bearing platform of the main part of Liulv Yongjiang Grand Bridge, a major project, has been poured smoothly.
The main span of the bridge is 320 meters, and it is the largest span extradosed bridge with the concrete-filled steel box for the 350 km/h unballasted-track railway under construction in China. The smooth pouring of the project has created favorable conditions for the cable tower construction in the next step. In addition, there will be no work stoppage during the Spring Festival this year so as to speed up the construction. Workers at 49 construction sites are expected to carry out construction as usual, including 11 sites for roadbeds, 26 sites for bridges and 12 sites for tunnels. After the railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will become the most convenient channel connecting Guidong Urban Agglomeration, Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration and the Pearl River Delta. The travel time from Nanning to Yulin will be shortened from 2 hours and 5 minutes to 33 minutes.
