Recently, Guangxi’s first international-standard speed skating field -- Guangxi Roller Skating Sports Training Base -- settled in the Luxian Mountain Scenic Area in Nanning, which also represents the first international-standard speed skating field in Southwest China.
It is learned that this base was built in strict accordance with the site specifications of international-standard speed skating field: 200 meters in circumference, 6 meters in width and 13.42 meters in curve radius, and there are also endurance plates standing on the outside of the track to ensure the safety of the athletes. The field design takes ecological green and sky blue as its main colors. For the future, the speed skating training, completions and preparations of Guangxi will be held in this base. Upon its completion, 600 skaters of 47 speed skating teams across the region will participate in the first large-scale competition, namely 2020 Guangxi Youth Speed Roller Skating Championship.
