According to recent reports, Guangxi held more than 148 cultural and tourist events during the Dragon Boat Festival, which had received 4.303 million tourists, standing for 45.7% of those last year, and had created the tourist consumption of 2.576 billion yuan, nearly 39.6% of that last year.
During the festival, the scenic areas, museums and libraries in Guangxi organized series of cultural and tourism activities on the topic of the Dragon Boat Festival. Particularly, Nanning Qingxiu Mountain and Nanning Garden Expo Park attractions held activities for popularizing the history of the festival and for experiencing the Dragon Boat Festival and interactive folklore performances. Meanwhile, the “2020 Guangxi Online Trade Fair - Culture and Tourism” activity was held in Wanda Plaza in Qingxiu District. Over 200 culture and tourism enterprises released more than 100 traveling routes and convened 15 sessions of tourism promotion meetings covering the destinations of Nanning, Liuzhou and Guilin, boosting the consumption by nearly a million yuan.
