It was recently learned that Wuming District of Nanning City, faced with the impact of COVID-19 on the sales of Wo citruses, has actively taken measures to solve the sales problems. By selling citruses through live streaming, cooperating with e-commerce enterprises, and organizing media publicity at all levels, Wuming District has overcome the problems in citrus selling, opened up the sales channels of Wo citruses, and realized the win-win situation of epidemic prevention and control and increase of farmers' income.
Meanwhile, from February 10 to March 31, Wuming District has successively issued supporting policies and given full accommodation subsidies to merchants from other places. For merchants from other places and local capable persons who have completed sales of more than 1,000 tons of Wo citruses (including 1,000 tons), subsidies of 20 yuan per ton and 1 yuan per e-commerce order have been given to them. At present, online selling has become the main channel for sales of Wuming Wo citruses. There are 1,000 e-commerce businesses in the whole district with the daily trading volume ranging from about 800 tons to over 3,000 tons, and even close to 5,000 tons at the peak after the policies have been issued. It is expected that Wo citruses in the whole district will be sold out as scheduled in the first ten days of April.
