Recently, Mayor Zhou Hongbo met with the delegation of the Dillons-Luberon-Verdon region of Provence, France, and signed the “Letter of Intent to Establish Sister City Ties” with the Provence Vice-President Paul O'Donnen.
Zhou extended warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Nanning. He said that the Provence region had an advanced agriculture and hoped the both sides could take agriculture as a breakthrough point to expand cooperation, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in this field; meanwhile, the two cities could continue to strengthen personnel exchanges, establish a normalized personnel exchange mechanism, deepen cultural exchanges and cooperation in tourism, and promote pragmatic cooperation in economic and trade. At the same time, Paul also expressed thanks for the hospitality. He said that he was deeply impressed by the beauty of Nanning during the trip, and he hoped that both sides could continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields. He also welcomed Nanning friends and more Chinese tourists to visit Provence.
