Recently, it was learned from the Commerce Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region that the “Implementation Plan for Broadening the Marketing Channels of Agricultural Products in Poverty-stricken Areas through Multi-channels in Guangxi” (hereinafter referred to as the “Implementation Plan”) has been issued. In the future, the whole region will closely focus on the issue of agricultural products’ sales in poor areas, broaden channels in all directions and at various levels, promote the establishment of long-term and stable production and marketing relations between various market players and poor areas, promote industrial development in poor areas, increase farmers’ income, and help fight against poverty and revitalize the countryside.
The Implementation Plan proposed that we should promote regional agricultural products wholesale markets, e-commerce enterprises and other agricultural products circulation enterprises, and establish long-term, stable, close and accurate production and marketing relationship with poor counties, townships and villages with agricultural industry foundation. In the area of external sales, it is necessary to establish a marketing network for agricultural products outside the region, focusing on the core target cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and so on. By means of “Going out” and “Inviting in”, we should strengthen the contacts with major purchasers outside the region, promote the formation of sustainable and stable export channels, and constantly expand the export volume of agricultural products in Guangxi.
